Plants ca. 40 cm tall. Rhizome prostrate, ca. 3 mm in diam., apex with brown, linear-lanceolate scales. Fronds spaced, monomorphic; stipe brown at base, apically straw-colored, ca. 25 cm (stipes of sterile fronds shorter), glabrous, adaxially grooved; lamina digitate, pinnae 3, ca. 20 cm, middle part 6-10 cm; lateral pinnae sessile, opposite, very decumbent, lanceolate, subfalcate, ca. 1.2 cm wide, base slightly oblique, broadly cuneate, margins cartilaginous, sterile fronds entire at base, finely and acutely serrate toward apex, apex acuminate; terminal pinna similar, narrowly lanceolate, up to 22 × ca. 1.4 cm, base symmetrical, cuneate, stalked (1-1.5 cm); lamina gray-green, papery when dried, costae with pallid vertical stripes on both sides on adaxial surface, both surfaces glabrous; costae straw-colored, glabrous, adaxially grooved; veins inconspicuous, dense, parallel, oblique, 1- or 2-forked.

植株高约40厘米。根状茎横卧，粗约3毫米，被棕色的线状披针形鳞片。叶散生，一型；柄长约25厘米（不育叶的柄较短），基部棕色，向上为禾秆色，光滑，上面有纵沟；叶片为指状三出，长约20厘米，中部宽6-10厘米；侧生羽片1对，无柄，对生，极斜向上，近镰刀状披针形，长约10厘米，中部宽约1.2厘米，先端渐尖，基部为稍偏斜的阔楔形，叶缘有软骨质的边，不育羽片下半部全缘，上半部有细而尖的锯齿；顶生羽片狭披针形，长达22厘米，中部宽约1.4厘米，向渐尖的顶端有细而尖的锯齿，基部对称，楔形，柄长1-1.5厘米。羽轴禾秆色，光滑，上面有纵沟。叶脉不明显，密集，平行，斜向上，一至二回分叉。叶干后纸质，灰绿色，羽轴上面两侧稍有灰白色的纵行狭条，无毛。
特产于海南（白沙）。生林下。
